Honor Society
BYU’s Russian Program is a member of two honor societies.
Dobro Slovo is a national Slavic honor society that celebrates academic excellence in the field of Slavic studies. Students wishing to become members of Dobro Slovo must have completed two years (or equivalent) of study of Slavic languages, literature, culture or related subjects with a minimum average grade of 85% (B) or its letter or point equivalent.
PHI Sigma Iota is an International Foreign Language Honor Society. Membership in this Honor Society gives students an opportunity to network with other scholars in the field, publish their scholarly work, and compete for scholarships.
