Russian Language Certificate

In order to certify in the Russian language, you must take at least 3 of the listed courses, one in each category:

  • Language: RUSS 321, 322 or 323.
  • Civilization: RUSS 330 or 343.
  • Literature: RUSS 340, 341 or 342.

If you have completed the coursework for a Russian language major or minor degree, you will also have satisfied the coursework requirement for the Language Certificate.

Additionally, you will need to take a Russian Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and a Russian Writing Proficiency Test (WPT).
